This article is dedicated to the linguistic context of functionality English military aviation terms in journal “Rotor and Wing”. The goal lies revealing specificity terminology, as well its structural, semantic pragmatic characteristics For achieving set goal, author aims determine most representative (stylistic, syntactic, grammatical,  lexical) peculiarities journal; which are least common for terms. novelty comprehensive description terminology (structural, aspects) professional journal. research employs analytical, comparative, statistical methods. establishes significant stylistic, lexical structural (most two-component phrases), (presence absolute conditional synonymous terms, absence polysemy,  partial presence antonyms), (terms fulfill functions that substantiated by content purpose acquired results can be used both lexicographical practice (compiling English-language dictionaries, thesauri, glossaries terms), teaching language.
